Summer Intern Scholarships in Cardiothoracic Surgery
The Summer Intern Scholarship program was established to introduce the field of cardiothoracic surgery to first and second year medical students in a North American medical school and to broaden their educational experience by providing an opportunity to spend eight weeks during the summer (June thru September) working in a North American cardiothoracic surgery department.

The Perioperative/Team-Based Care Poster Competition provides an opportunity for non-MD cardiothoracic surgical team professionals (NPs, PAs, Perfusionists, and RNs) to participate in a scientific poster competition at the 2016 AATS Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, May 14 - 18, 2016. These posters may contain material that has been previously presented. The deadline to submit an abstract is Friday, January 22, 2016.
Cardiothoracic Ethics Forum Scholarship
Grants opportunities for intellectual development and preparation for leadership roles in CT ethics, the Forum (supported by the AATS and STS) offers scholarships for interested CT surgeons to obtain formal education and training in biomedical ethics through programs offered by leading ethics centers.
