Cardiothoracic Ethics Forum Scholarship
Grants opportunities for intellectual development and preparation for leadership roles in CT ethics, the Forum (supported by the AATS and STS) offers scholarships for interested CT surgeons to obtain formal education and training in biomedical ethics through programs offered by leading ethics centers.

Summer Intern Scholarships in Cardiothoracic Surgery
The Summer Intern Scholarship program was established to introduce the field of cardiothoracic surgery to first and second year medical students in a North American medical school and to broaden their educational experience by providing an opportunity to spend eight weeks during the summer (June thru September) working in a North American cardiothoracic surgery department.

Member for a Day Program
Provides an opportunity for medical students and general surgery residents to accompany an AATS Member Mentor, along with a resident of the Thoracic Surgery Residents Association (TSRA) during portions of the 2016 AATS Annual Meeting in Baltimore, MD from May 14th 18th.

Cardiothoracic Surgery Resident Poster Competition
Provides an opportunity for a senior cardiothoracic surgery residents and/or congenital heart surgery fellows to represent their institution in a competition by presenting a scientific poster of their clinical/investigative research at the 2016 AATS Annual Meeting in Baltimore, MD, May 14 - 18.

Perioperative/Team-Based Care Poster Competition
The Perioperative/Team-Based Care Poster Competition provides an opportunity for non-MD cardiothoracic surgical team professionals (NPs, PAs, Perfusionists, and RNs) to participate in a scientific poster competition at the 2016 AATS Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, May 14 - 18, 2016. These posters may contain material that has been previously presented. The deadline to submit an abstract is Friday, January 22, 2016.

Provides an opportunity for cardiothoracic surgery residents to attend the Cardiovascular-Thoracic Critical Care Conference, Omni Shoreham Hotel, Washington, DC, October 1 3, 2015.

Evarts A. Graham Memorial Traveling Fellowship
Fellowship grants support training of international surgeons of unique promise who have been regarded as having the potential for later international thoracic surgical leadership.

Third Robert E. Gross Research Scholarship, 2016 2018
Provides an opportunity for research, training and experience for North American surgeons committed to pursuing an academic career in cardiothoracic surgery.
